All,

Your school-verified rosters need to be at USA Ultimate Headquarters by Friday, March 8th at 5:00 PM MST. You can’t just have it postmarked before that date…it actually needs to be in their hands by that time or your team can’t participate in Conference Championships, Regionals or Nationals.

You have 10 days which is plenty of time…get it over with today or tomorrow and get it in the mail.

Just to clarify, this list does not mean that you have completed the rostering process. However, it does mean that the USAU has recognized that you have started this process. In order to finish it, you need to have your full roster sent to USA Ultimate after being approved by your school’s registrar.
Your roster needs to be in USAU’s hands by Friday March 9th, 2012 at 5:00 PM Mountain Time (7:00 PM Eastern Time). DO NOT EVEN COME CLOSE TO THIS DEADLINE. Don’t take your chances. If you haven’t started this yet, do it as soon as possible.
If you need any help with this process, please email me at any time: metroeastopen@gmail.com OR crd_me_o@usaultimate.org
Also, if you are not on the list above, please send me an email so I can be aware of your desire to compete this season!

It’s November…Start Thinking About YOUR Spring Season!

Hey all! Spring is just around the corner and it is never too early to plan your 2012 season! With the bid allocation different for the 2012 season, your position in the overall rankings will directly translate into how many bids your conference (D-1, D-3 or Developmental) will get towards regionals!

Here is an awesome thread on RSD about some of the major tournaments in the spring! If you want to participate, now is the time to send in your bids! 2012 College Spring Tournaments

On a different note, if you need me to explain the bid system to you or if you have any questions regarding the process as a whole, hit me up at metroeastopen@gmail.com or crd_me_o@usaultimate.org

Greetings and My Plan

Hello all! My name is Zack Smith and I am the Metro East Regional Director for the 2012 year.

Just a quick history, I was a 5 year player at SUNY-Buffalo and I will be living in Rochester, NY for the duration of the College Regular and Post Seasons.

My mission, outside of providing a solid playing opportunity for the Conference and Regional tournaments, is to put out as much information as possible, which includes:

  • Names of Conference Coordinators
  • Qualifying Teams
  • Seedings
  • Results

This blog will be used to communicate this information to all of the coaches, fans and players of the Metro East Region. If you have any questions or concerns, please email me at metroeastopen@gmail.com

More information to come out soon!
